This is a first floor apartment in the courtyard of a Manor House in Lower Normandy with a modern, large dining/sitting area for 6 people, 3 large bedrooms, 2 double beds, 1 single bed, 1 king size bed & 2 bathrooms. All modern amenities. Great base for sightseeing, relaxing or enjoying the French countryside. If you are looking for a quiet get-away we hope that this is the spot for you. This apartment is ideal for couples or families even with young children or babies as we can provide baby facilities. The apartment is in a stone building in the courtyard, of what was originally a stable block for the Manor House, but it has been completely remodeled and modernised for comfort and modern living; yet, we have kept some of the original features. You can relax, spend time with the family enjoying the outside space or take trips to the numerous tourist attractions from Paris to the Normandy beaches all within a day. The apartment is totally self-contained with its own entrance from the courtyard. Guests can use the summer furniture provided and walk around the gardens and open areas and take advantage of the many sitting areas provided. There is a BBQ area for outside dining. Also a covered area provided for the storage of bikes, a laundry room, outside drying area and there is ample parking space. We live on site and are there to welcome you at the start of your holiday. We are always available to provide additional information, to the tourist guides available, on things to do and places to see. Our accommodation is in the countryside and central for visiting many tourist attractions and for many different interests - horseriding, golf, tennis, walking, biking .... castles, street markets, village fetes, open gardens, spa, history, wine tasting or simply relaxing. Only 10 mins from the historic town of Domfront and 10 mins from the famous spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne. The area is full of great restaurants that cater for all tastes and purses. This is a quiet part of France and there is little 'nightlife' beyond evening dining, outside the main towns; however, there are several local cinemas and evening events that take place mainly during the summer and main holiday periods. We are only 1.30 hrs from the Normandy coast, Mont St Michel and beaches and 2.30 hrs from Paris also easily accessible by train. A car is essential and car hire is available from the major towns. We are beside a secondary road and therefore access is easy; and, not far from main train and bus stations from where you can travel anywhere but local transport such as the bus is poor and private taxis are expensive. There is a flat screen TV with satellite and a dishwasher. Laundry facilites are available in an adjacent washroom. Please note that this apartment does not suit people with mobility problems as there are entrance stairs. Please note that as this is a self-containd apartment bedlinen and towels are only provided with an additional small fee. Blankets, pillows and kitchen towels are all provided free of charge. There is a welcome pack on your arrival if staying more than 1 night. Please note that there is a supplement for late departures.
