Vaulted ceiling & mezzanine sleeping area access via ladder also small double sofa bed if preferred . Essendon Village is a quiet Hamlet 30 mins from London , 10 mins Hatfield Station. Great country walks, pubs & visiting Hatfield House & Hertford or base to explore London. Dogs welcome £10 per night upon request . The barn has been recently converted to provide a cosy open plan living space with vaulted ceiling and mezzanine sleeping area which is access via a ladder . If the ladder access is not for you there is a small double sofa bed. The kitchenette has a 2 ring electric induction hob with over head extractor and accompanying pots and pans . Fridge & Kettle. There is a shower room and towels are provided . The barn has its own access via gates and is approximately 200ft away from the main house . There is sole use of garden adjacent with seating , fire pit ( logs available upon request - £5 per bag) & BBQ. Well behaved small dogs are welcome upon request - £10 per night payable during stay. The Barn has own off street parking and is within walking distance from bus stops which serve the village and enable access to Hatfield Station , Hertford & Ware . Essendon is a quiet village without local shops but three pubs . The closest village shop is in Little Berkhampstead ( 2 miles away ) with Supermarkets in Hatfield and Hertford . Hatfield overland station is approximately 10 mins drive ( bus also available ) . Uber / Taxi services also readily available . Essendon is a small quiet Hamlet located between Potters Bar & Hertford . There are lovely country walks and Golf Course plus a selection of pubs but no local shops . The closest shop is in Little Berkhampstead which is 2 miles away . Road access is easy with many major routes close by with Potters Bar & Hatfield Mainline Station only 10 mins away both with mini cab offices and Uber available to reach Essendon.
