Benjamin - Strijp-S - private bathroom + breakfast

Enjoy this spacious room with a comfortable bed, a big table with four chairs, lots of books and records, a private bathroom and... a wonderful roof terrace. A nice and quiet, spacious attic floor with private bathroom, roof terrace and breakfast next to the bustling Strijp-S, the new cultural heart of the city and home to STRP, Dutch Design Week, trendy restaurants and visited by international music-acts! The attic floor consists of the entrance with (steep!) stairs to the roof terrace, a spacious, bright room and a separate private bathroom. The roof terrace offers a place to lounge and relax with a view on Eindhoven. We serve a cool beer, a glass of wine or iced tea if you like. There's also a little fireplace to add an extra spark of romance. The spacious and bright room has a bed for 2 and a bed for 1 but we have extra mattresses and bed linen if necessary. There's a large table with chairs for 4 persons where we can serve food, a really good latte machiato or maybe you want to work there. We offer free WIFI and cable TV and there are lots of books, films, records and boardgames for you to enjoy. There is also a fridge. The bathroom is nice and clean with your own towels, hot shower, toilet, washing machine, iron and ironing board. We can provide taxi-service, maps and hundreds of things to do or don't in and around Eindhoven. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Bed & Breakfast Benjamin is only a 5 minutes walk from the Eindhoven Strijp-S train station and Strijp-S. If you have a bike, within 5 minutes you're in the "Kruisstraat" with multicultural shops, grocery stores and restaurants (Turkish, Indian, Italian, Greek, Asian, Moroccan). Also an Albert Heijn and an organic supermarket can be found there. It will take you 5 minutes more to get to the city with it’s famous Stratumseind with 60 bars in 1 street, van Abbe museum of modern art, the Effenaar and Bermuda club, Design Academy and Technical University, Philips and DAF museum. Or maybe you rather take a nice and easy 5 minute walk to the park with it’s juicy green meadows... For international travellers: from Eindhoven Airport the bus will get you to us in 25 minutes. Hope to see you soon! We only have one kitchen and it is private. If you want we can help you find a place to eat. There is a supermarket and cheap eateries just around the corner. The whole top floor is yours and you are welcome to enjoy the roof terrace too but please be careful on the stairs! Usually we will be around to help you with whatever you need. Our house is in a quiet wide street with 80 years old linden trees. The neighborhood is built in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) 's and situated just outside the city ring road, next to Strijp-S and the beautiful Philips de Jongh park. There a plenty of small eateries en shops in the neighborhood. A big supermarket, called Jumbo, can be found a eight minute walk from our place. Traveling by train: Take the slow train from Eindhoven Central station to Eindhoven Strijp-S. From here it's a 350 meter walk to our house. Turn left, do not cross the ring road but enter Galileïstraat. Walk straight ahead and you'll find a coffeeshop (not for coffee!) on your right hand. Proceed to Wattstraat and you'll reach Franklinplein, a little square with a small playground on the left. Cross the square and you'll see the red frontdoor of our house. Arriving from Eindhoven Airport: Take bus 401 at the airport and get off at the stop Ir. Kalffstraat at Strijp-S. Turn left on Philitelaan towards and around the big white building on the right. Walk under the railway and cross the ring road at the traffic lights to enter Galileïstraat. Walk straight ahead and you'll find a coffeeshop (not for coffee!) on your right hand. Proceed to Wattstraat and you'll reach Franklinplein, a little square with a small playground on the left. Cross the square and you'll see the red front door of our house. Arriving by car: Use your navigation system to our address or contact us for details. Parking, on front of our house, is free! Bikes to borrow: We have bikes (with locks and lights) to borrow to explore the city. Taxi: A taxi can be arranged by cal (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) that's 7 X 7) but we gladly help you with that. Car rental: Contact us for details. Maud is also a bee keeper. There is a honey bee hive on the roof terrace.
