Sitting on the lake edge, Willow is a stunning detached four bedroom+ house perfect for families or groups wising to explore the Cotswolds, enjoy the tranquillity or fishing. Sleeping up to twelve people this luxury holiday home with lake and garden views consists of a large lounge, fully fitted kitchen/sun room, utility room, games room, downstairs cloakroom, new hot tub and BBQ with private garden. Upstairs has four bedrooms, an ensuite and family bathroom. Free WIFI available. On entering this magnificent property you will find yourself in a spacious hallway with staircase to 4 comfortable bedrooms and downstairs cloakroom. Stepping into a large full functional family kitchen with a large table. To one side there is a large separate utility room which leads to the outside Hot Tub. Walking through the kitchen leads to a sunny seating area for you to enjoy a coffee while overlooking the lake. This leads on to a fully kitted out games room including an American pool table, table football, a selection of boardgames and a small library. Overlooking the garden and lake is a large 12-seater dining room table. This leads into the main living space with 3 sofas, flat screen TV and a large open fire place. On first floor you will find 4 tasteful bedrooms, one king with en-suite, one king with private seating, one double with balcony and one with 3 single beds. The en-suite wet room contains a bath/shower and the large family bathroom is newly refurbished with a bath/shower. Additional sleeping can be found in the two sofa beds located downstairs. Heading outside you will find a delightful patio area with garden furniture, a brand new hot tub and a BBQ, ideal for unwinding at the end of the day. There is a shared play area for the kids, including a child’s swing set and trampoline. Fishing is available with your own private swim for a small extra charge, please enquire when booking or with the onsite tackle shop. Also, there are 2 other lakes which offer carp fishing on our day ticket lake, there is a charge for this. We also have a tackle and bait shop on site that also sells cold drinks, sweets and snacks. If you want to try your hand at fishing we can kit you out with reasonably priced tackle. You will find a great many water birds resident here, swans, mallards, great crested grebes, moor hens, coots, herons are all resident with the occasional visit from other types of ducks and geese, with a great many babies to see during the spring and summer. In the garden and grounds you will find a great many species of garden birds feeding and nesting and a wealth of flora and fauna. The Whelford nature reserve is within walking distance. Located in the eastern part of the Cotswold Water Park, this reserve used to be the site of two barren gravel pits, but is now a freshwater haven for all sort of wildlife. Although much of the reserve is out of bounds to protect nesting flocks, great views can be had from the hides. In spring watch great crested grebes do their 'weed dance' courtship and as the summer comes on dragonflies and damselflies are abundant. In winter, overwintering wildfowl are present in large numbers. If you're really lucky you might also see otters, nightingale and bittern. A beautiful tranquil place, this reserve guarantees wildlife all year round. For bigger parties we have additional accommodation on site that can accommodate a further 16 people. Please contact us for full details. The Owner is on site most days and will respond to any calls. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and pretty Cotswold villages and towns. Trout fishing is available at Lechlade, 4 miles, wher you will also be able to walk the tow path along the River Thames, find plenty of places to eat and a variety of shops. Walk the Thames Path under the ancient Halfpenny bridge and enjoy a trip up the river by barge. and at Bibury, 5 miles, you can feed the young fish at the trout farm. Whilst here make time to visit the word famous Arlington Row. Next to Bibury are Eastleach, Coln St Aldwyns, Hatherop, Southrop, Quenington, The Barrinngtons and The Westwells. Further afield are Bourton on the Water, a very pretty and popular day out with Birdland, The Motor Museum ( the home of Brum!) the Model Village, lots of gift and different shops and spotting the Trout on a pretty walk along the River Windrush.
