The property boarders a green belt - A wonderful retreat to relax and enjoy! Approx. 700m / 15 minutes WALK to beach SALT ROCK CITY Centre 3 minutes DRIVE 8km to Ballito 20 min DRIVE to King Shaka Airport To optimize your visit, it is advisable to have your own transport. Look forward to hosting you! The "cottage" has a glorious covered patio, small "Braai" provided. Internally there are: - A comfortable lounge space, that can accommodate an additional person in a single bed sleeping niche/ couch. - A dining area with a table to play card games (or work at should you require) Crockery, cutlery glasses etc. are in the kitchenette. -A kitchenette with cooking facilities to rustle up a light meal-pots, pans, induction plate, gas plate, microwave, kettle, toaster, Bodum to brew yourself some delicious locally sourced fresh coffee, plus own washing machine and tumble dryer -A partially screened off bedroom section with a double bed mattress, bedding and linen -"Thai style" bathroom and separate walk in closet. Fans ensure cooling you down and keeping the "mozzies" at bay. If you are a sporting enthusiast, the choice is fabulous, from swimming, snorkeling, surfing, kite surfing, mountain biking, golf, trail running to micro-lighting. The new Salt Rock Center is close by and there are an array of lovely restaurants in the area, just ask your hosts and we can suggest some options. Be it an active or relaxing holiday you are after, it is a wonderful place to recharge and ENJOY! The cottage is private with it's own patio overlooking the garden for you to enjoy. There is one covered parking bay for the Airbnb. The host, Tanja and her four legged children, live separately in the upper section of the house, available to welcome you or should you require any assistance or information. Our friendly large dogs, form part of the welcoming committee and overall experience. They provide additional security and try their best to keep the monkeys form pinching food. Please don't feed them either, they all get a good helping from us :) Salt Rock is superbly located, close to the airport and an ideal getaway for either a quiet relaxing holiday enjoying the splendors of nature, or an active sporting vacation. There quaint restaurants and markets near by. Should you desire a little hustle and bustle, Ballito is a hop and a jump away. If you would like a more international dining and shopping experience, Umhlanga and Gateway are within a 25 minute drives distance. For any further information, please don't hesitate to ask us. It's recommendable to have your own transport to fully enjoy your stay. To truly enjoy the area, we recommend having your own transport. Shaded semi-covered parking is available for one car close to the cottage. Any other vehicles could park under the trees in the large garden. Upon your arrival you shall be issued with the necessities allowing you to move in and out freely during your visit. Further details regarding the space and our surroundings are happily provided by your host, in English, Afrikaans or German. Longer stays are welcome and discounted. During this period the unit shall be cleaned once a week, at no additional charge. Due to the house being wooden, there is some sound transfer. We try to live quietly upstairs, so that you may have a wonderfully relaxing stay. The organic nature of timber, in combination with rare unpredictable weather conditions, may give rise to unforeseeable circumstances. The dogs are very friendly and like to say hello, but do not understand the dangers of cars. Please consider them when driving and ensure you close the gate behind you, so they can't go "walkabouts".
