Situated in the historic, quiet and restful village of Buckden, Cambridgshire. There is a brief stroll to the three pubs on the High Street for you to eat and unwind, after you've arrived. Easy striking distance of Cambridge, Peterborough and Bedford for business and Burghley House/Horse Trials, Duxford Imperial War Museum, National Trust properties and a 6-minute drive from Grafham Water Sailing Club for pleasure. All backgrounds welcome - Smart TV, fast WiFi and air conditioning. The studio is self-contained, spacious & welcoming. It is fully air conditioned, has super fast broadband, Smart TV and has its own entrance that is separate from the main house. The room has memory foam mattresses and can be configured in either twin or super king configuration. It also has a small kitchen area with double sink, microwave and refrigerator. We are available should you need any assistance during your stay. Buckden is a heritage village on the Great North Road and has a number of amenities including pubs, two small supermarkets, a Chinese takeaway, one of the biggest dress shops in the country and Buckden Towers. Buckden Towers, originally known as Buckden Palace, was an important residence belonging to the powerful Bishops of Lincoln. The first site at Buckden would have been built of wood. Around 1225 Bishop Hugh de Wells built a new house of stone. Today the Towers are a lovely Elizabethan complex of buildings that makes a wonderful sight next to the parish church next door. Buses run from the village to St Neots and Huntingdon, where there are train stations - north to Peterborough or south to London. A guided bus runs from Huntingdon to Cambridge. Travel by car is well served by the A1 and the A14 and Willow Chimes is an easy drive to Peterborough, Cambridge and Bedford. We recommend using the park and ride if you plan to visit Cambridge. The room can be configured to be either twin bedded or a super-king double. Entrance is via a spiral staircase, which may be unsuitable for some guests.
