Upriver, the Tees cascades over High force, flows down through the historic town of Barnard Castle, with the majestic Bowes Museum, past the lodges and on to Piercebridge. Many cosy local pubs to a Michelin Star restaurant, makes sure you never go hungry or thirsty. Attraction Raby Castle, high force waterfall ect.. The surroundings are just gorgeous, so peaceful and just a short drive away from Barnard Castle. Fishing access to over a 1 mile of private salmon and trout fishing, if you would like to fish, you will require a valid rod licence and a pre paid permission letter, from us for the days you would like to fish, fishing without pre payment and permission notice, could lead to prosecution. Highcliffe Waters Lodges are also ideally situated for walkers, with the Teesdale Way passing through the site. The 92 mile long Teesdale Way runs from Cow Green near the source of the river, all way to the sea and it links up with the Cleveland Way and Pennine.
