Pebble Cottage, great location, self contained
Pebble Cottage is a gorgeous, homely, private, character one bedroom cottage equipped with everything needed for a self catering stay. The kitchen and shower room are newly fitted and include all amenities such as microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The living space is comfortably furnished with a sofa, table and chairs, TV and DVD player. Up the quirky narrow staircase, the bedroom offers a comfy king size bed and plenty of clothes storage. The Cottage is self contained with its own private entrance. Outside is a westerly aspect patio area, perfect for a sunny evening drink or meal outside. Pebble Cottage is a completely private, self contained annex to our family home, as such we are available anytime if you have questions, need local advice and recommendations, or if there is anything you need to make your stay more comfortable. Pebble Cottage is located on the Shepherd and Flock roundabout in Farnham. Reported to be the largest inhabited roundabout in the UK, there is a surprisingly “village” feel about it. The roundabout occupies 10 acres with hundreds of trees, 18 houses and an excellent, friendly, food and drink pub (The Shepherd and Flock). Situated within a mile of the beginning of the North Downs Way national trail (running from Farnham to Dover) which, surprisingly, can be accessed easily on foot without having to even cross a road. Moor Park Lane extends down away from the Cottage, past the pub, under a bridge and within moments countryside and tranquility can be discovered. There is also a pedestrian underpass heading toward Farnham town centre and train station, which can be reached in approximately one mile, or a little further if you should wish to detour through Farnham Park and pass the castle on route. The town offers a wide selection of high street shops, independent boutiques, cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as cultural pursuits such as galleries, a museum, the castle and Farnham Maltings which offers a wide range of entertainment. Farnham train station offers a twice hourly service to London Waterloo. The station is approximately 1 mile away. There is a bus to and from the town centre (number 65). Parking is unrestricted at weekends and overnight during the week, there is a 4 hour limit between 8:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday. By special request we may be able to accommodate off road parking if required. In keeping with the quirky nature of this character property, the staircase is very narrow (45cm), is open sided to the living room and has no hand rail. As such we must insist that the property is not suitable for guests who may be unsteady on their feet and have also listed this property as unsuitable for children. Early check in/late check out can be arranged by separate request.
