Cozy room in walking distance to dwntwn Willoughby

Cozy room in quaint city of Old Willoughby. Walking distance to the neighborhood downtown with coffee shops, antique stores, and many restaurants to choose from. Sleeping private quarters in basement is very clean/comfy and has full sized futon and full bath with newly installed shower. I have designed the house to feel comfortable to visitors. Friends describe it as "a big hug". The neighborhood is safe and very quaint. Downtown Willoughby (walking/biking distance) is fun to visit with unique shops and many restaurants to choose from. Andrews Osborne Academy is a 5 minute drive/20 minute walk for international guests who might be looking for an extended stay to visit with their children. I have hosted several guests from China, and have provided much support for them during their stay. They have been very pleased with their time with me in my home. All spaces in house are shared, with the exception of sleeping quarters and full downstairs bath. I am interactive with guests but also respect a desire to be left to peace/quiet. We quickly adapt to co-exist and I am open to questions and any concerns my guests might have. There will be a selection of teas to choose from. I also provide a French press/coffee/creamer, and there are several coffee shops in walking distance. For long term guests: you will have access to a full-functioning kitchen, as well as washer/dryer. I live with my guests but respect their right to privacy. If a guest chooses to interact with me, I am very receptive to communicating/sharing. Convenience of downtown area with many shops/restaurants/coffee houses. Several beautiful parks with hiking trails within a short distance. Hopkins International Airport is a 35-40 minute ride from my home. Vehicle. Walking/biking. Lyft/Uber. I am a foster/boarding home for dogs/cats and will occasionally have only one of either living with me. If a reservation is booked far enough in advance and a guest would prefer not to interact with pets while they are traveling, I can hold off on fostering until the guest’s visit is complete. Should I have a current foster/board in my care, I will inform each guest of the breed I have at the time of their potential stay with me. Also worth noting — I am not a big fan of air conditioning. There is one window unit upstairs that cools the entire house (it covers up to 1,000 sq feet). Your private basement space has 2 fans and is typically the coolest space in the home. If you’d prefer the A/C from upstairs to be on during your visit, please request this and I will be sure and have it turned on.
