Duckling Cottage, Great Massingham Norfolk

A very quaint 3 bedroom cottage recently refurbished, in the beautiful village of Great Massingham only two doors down from our pub The Dabbling Duck. You'll be spoilt for choice with beaches, fabulous walks, and boutique shopping. Small enclosed garden with patio and grassed area. Three bedroom cottage newly refurbished with views over the village green and duck ponds. All beds are kings size with feather pillows and white linens. One of the double rooms is downstairs with an en suite and roll top bath. The stairs up to the two remaining bedrooms are narrow and fairly steep, as you would expect with an old cottage. On arrival we supply homemade bread and jam and milk. We have got a little village shop that you can get the basics from which is a 2 min walk across the green. You have access to cooker, washing machine, fridge and dishwasher. As well as espresso machine, with complimentary coffee pods, as well as tea, coffee and sugar. The cottage has a pretty garden, with seating area and BBQ for the nicer months, and parking for two cars. Mark and I own the village pub, a few doors away so there is always someone on hand to talk to if there are any problems. Norfolk is host to a wide range of visitor attractions including places of historic interest, stately homes, RSPB reserves and miles of open pathways, cycle paths and bridleways. Sandringham house is 10 miles away. The impressive Houghton Hall is just up the road and well worth a visit, besides the historic house it has beautiful gardens. During the summer there is often music and art at the house. And we are only a stones throw away from the beautiful and diverse beaches of North Norfolk. The North Norfolk coast is full of amazing places to eat, so just ask us for recommendations if you are exploring the coast. Kings Lynn Station is 13 miles away, with a train that goes straight into Kings Cross. Taxi are a little more tricky and can be expensive as we are in a rural area, pre booking in advance is essential. Our pub The Dabbling Duck pub, is a two minute walk from Duckling Cottage. We serve food all day everyday and Sunday lunch. We also serve breakfast between 8am - 10am. At weekends we light our wood fired oven for takeaway pizza and during the nicer months we also have street food at our outside bar.
