The Railway Carriage
The Railway Carriage is located within the picturesque grounds of our small remote campsite. It has its own private garden surrounded by drystone walls and stunning views. Designed and finished to a high contemporary standard while also maintaining the heritage of the 1930s railway carriage. Surprisingly spacious it has an en suite shower room, kitchen, sofa, a wood burning stove and a double bed. The Railway Carriage is a unique retreat and ideal place to unwind and take in the breath taking views of the surrounding area. It has everything you need for a short break away or a romantic weekend. Upon entering through the French doors you have a cosy living area with a comfy sofa and log burning stove to keep you warm whatever the time of year. The carriage is set in a quiet corner of our small remote campsite surrounded by traditional drystone walls creating the perfect private space for you to relax and unwind. Inside: - En suite shower room with electric shower, heated towel radiator, towels and toiletries. -Kitchen area which includes an electric hob, sink and drainage area, small fridge, kettle, toaster and all basic kitchenware. -Stylish comfy sofa under which you will find a fold out table for dining etc. -Log burning stove with a supply of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches. Any additional logs etc will be available to purchase at £5 a bucket. - Sleeping area with double bed - the cosy bed linen is all provided. -Free WiFi, Smart TV providing you with catch up, Netflix and Prime video. Local area: There are several pubs within a short distance away and local shops nearby. Lovely walks and local attractions on the doorstep. The Railway Carriage is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Your private parking area is just a short 20m walk away. As we live on site we are mostly around should you have any questions or require information. We are happy for you to contact us but equally will leave you to your own devices should you wish. We are nestled in a very beautiful and quiet part of the peak district so hopefully you will find your stay here tranquil and relaxing. As we are in the heart of the peak district there are several stunning walks right on our door step as well as many tourist attractions within a short drive away. E.g The Monsal train, Chatsworth House, Lady Bower, Bakewell, Castleton, and many more. There are 2 local pubs within about a 10-15 min walk and the Barrel Inn at Bretton with is breathtaking views is around a 40 min walk up the hill but well worth the trek.
