Most famous for its magnificent 14th century castle and gardens, one of many built throughout Wales by Edward I, Chirk boasts a wonderful aqueduct, designed by Thomas Telford, a selection of pleasant pubs and restaurants, a convenience store, chemist, gift shop, coffee shops, local butcher's, greengrocers, bakery, an excellent golf course and marina.
