The annexe is adjacent to the main house and a perfect country getaway suitable for a quiet holiday, visiting local Sussex attractions, or a handy base for visiting friends or family. The house itself is late Victorian, with generously proportioned rooms and high ceilings. There are 2 interconnecting bedrooms with a shared shower room. Both bedrooms have double beds. Breakfast isn't provided but there is a kitchen for self catering. The living area has a woodburning stove. NB there is no tv! Guests are free to use the large garden, patio area, and outdoor dining and seating areas. There is ample off road parking available We are around most of the time and always available by mobile phone. The house is about a mile from the nearest village where there are a number of village shops and several good pubs! Newick is the nearest village and has 3 pubs, a church, a butcher, a chemist, a bakery, a hairdresser, and a general store. The nearest garage is at North Chailey where basic supplies can also be bought. There are supermarkets at nearby Lewes, Haywards Heath and Uckfield, all of which are about 6 miles away. The house is about a mile from the nearest bus stop with buses going to Haywards Heath and Uckfield. The nearest mainline train station is at Haywards heath with regular trains going to London (45 mins), Brighton (20 mins) and Gatwick (12 mins). We can advise about local taxis if required. The house is in a very beautiful wooded location, ideal for people looking for peace and quiet. There are numerous walks on footpaths starting from the house or on the nearby Chailey Commons. We kindly ask guests not to invite visitors back to the annexe.
