Aperanti is located in Pera Orinis, 20 min drive from Nicosia and 15 from Machairas mountains. Our Agrotourism B&B accommodation in a renovated traditional stone-built house located in the picturesque village of Pera Orinis, nestled in the foothills of the Machairas mountains. Despite its quiet location it is only a 20-minute drive (or 30-minute bus ride) from the capital Nicosia. By staying at us you will have the possibility not only to relax and to explore our beautiful countryside, but to taste our home-made products (cheese, jams, cakes, pastries,...) and to participate in local activities (traditional halloumi cheese making, olive oil production, fruit collection, visit of nearby farms...). Activities and dinner needs to be reserved few days in advance at least. Our location is ideal for tourists who love nature and outdoor activities. Trekking, cycling, birdwatching, horse-riding, kayaking are all possible at nearby locations. This is a very spacious room (36m²) with the traditional arch, located at the ground floor and can accommodate up to 4 people. This room is fitted with wooden & iron furniture, beamed ceilings and stone flooring. It opens to a shared yard. The private bathroom (with shower) is inside the room. Room Facilities: fan, heating, bed sheets, towels, free toiletries. Bed size: 1 double bed & 1 double sofa bed Common areas: dining room, central courtyard with tables. Agrotourism services: home-made breakfast included in the price, home-made dinner on request, free WiFi in the room and common areas, selling of home-made products, cooking lessons & workshops & tours for small groups. Apart from their private room, guests can access and use any time the shared central yard (with outdoor tables), the sitting area in the reception and the dining area. We provide maps of the village and nearby areas. We are happy to give tips about trekking paths, restaurants and places to visit. We offer workshops to give insights about rural traditional life (cheese making, cooking classes, olive harvesting). We are happy to interact with our guests, to tell them stories about Cyprus and to exchange stories and tips about travelling. Hide Our village Pera Oreinis is a quiet village in the rural countryside of Nicosia and it is perfect for people who would like to relax and to be in contact with nature. There are some walking paths starting from the village and more trekking opportunities in the nearby Machairas Mountains, with lush forest and rivers running (in the winter and spring). Being not a touristic area, there is plenty of off-the-beaten track places to discover and enjoy just by yourself. Important historical sites can be visited in the nearby areas (Agios Irakleidios Monastery, Tamassos ancient sites, Machairas Monastery, UNESCO church of Panagia tou Araka) and Nicosia is only 30 mins away. Being a non-touristic area will give you the chance to also try delicious local food. Hide Bus 157 connects our village to Nicosia city center (old town) Please note that we need at least one day notice. We do not take last minute booking.
