Coastal log cabin, near Nature Reserve and River
The Log Cabin is a garden room in a pretty, tree surrounded garden with its own entrance. It is opposite the main house, which is hidden away from the main road. It’s quiet and relaxing. A 10 minute drive in all directions will take you to St Catherine’s Hill, the airport, train station, beautiful beaches, The New Forest, wonderful bars and restaurants. The property can comfortably sleep 2 adults in a double bed, suitably equipped with comfortable white Egyptian cotton bedding. The mezzanine above - with a double floor mattresses - could provide an extra space for supervised children (*please see extra note about sleeping upstairs) but there are open ladder stairs so you will need to assist them. You will have your own key and can come and go as you please. The suite includes a shower room with a toilet and sink and I provide towels. There is a small kitchen fitted with a microwave, tiny electric oven, two plate electric hob, kettle, toaster, and fridge. Cutlery, plates, mugs and saucepans are provided. I do provide complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate for your arrival so you might want to bring a pint of milk! *If you wish to use the upstairs mezzanine bed it’s absolutely fine but we do ask for an extra £10/guest per night to cover extra laundry, wear and tear etc. Please mention this when you request to book and I will send the link. I can then ensure the bed is made up and ready for your arrival. For guests staying a month or so there is a large discount. The room can be differently configured to become more like a one bedroom flat. The mezzanine upstairs can act as the bedroom and the downstairs room can have the sofa and fold down desk. We can accommodate requests. The last two photos aim to show this! The lawn area outside the cabin will provide you with dappled shade when you like and you can use the table outside too. There are two chairs in the log cabin that you can use at the table We will leave a key for your personal use in the door or the key safe. We are nearly always in the house so are easily contactable and we’ll provide a mobile number too. The Local Area The Log Cabin is a 2 minute walk from The Grove shops and pizza restaurant (Pizza Baracca, open Fri, Sat, Sun 5pm) a 10 minute walk to Tesco Express or the St Catherine’s Hill shops where there is a Butchers, South African shop and a thriving bar/restaurant (The Bunker) One entrance to the beautiful conservation area of St Catherine’s Hill is a 5 minute walk away where there are 35 hectares of heathland and woods, perfect for walks or discovering by bike.
