King or Double room within large victorian house of outstanding character with original features built in 1893. Cast iron fire places, stained glass windows, Milton floor tiles, extensive private gardens & woodland, patio area. Edge of Peak District The property is a unique Victorian house built for the aristocracy of the era. With many original features including cast iron fire places, Milton tiled hallway, Stained glass windows, high ceilings, etc. The property has 4 large recently decorated bedrooms, two of which (1 king size, one large double) are available for rent individually for two people. Both rooms can be rented together for four people (see separate listing). There are two reception rooms, both with tv’s, one of which will be for the guests sole use if required. A large kitchen with breakfast bar for four people and a separate dining room for shared use. (Whilst breakfast isn’t formally included, we are happy for you to help yourself to available cereals, fruit, juice, toast, coffee, tea, etc.) Guests will have the use of a private bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. There are large private south facing gardens and its own private wood with an abundance of wildlife. There is a large patio and decking area, with bbq, garden furniture, fire pit table, etc to enjoy a relaxing evening. Ample parking space to the front of the property. The location is Gee Cross which is on the edge of the Peak District with stunning countryside and villages but also close to Manchester City centre, 20 mins by car or train. We are Dave and Yvonne, both friendly, professional people working in Manchester. We are happy to share our home and interact with guests as much or as little as guests would like. We have a lovely cat named Nala (Bengal - anti allergy) but unlike us she is fairly unsociable, preferring to enjoy the outdoors. Guests will have access to own large king or double bedroom, private bathroom, private lounge, shared kitchen, dining room and gardens. We are a friendly couple and sociable, happy to chat, enjoy a drink together but respect people’s privacy when preferred. Close to Peak District and easily commutable to Manchester. Nearby train station with regular service to Manchester Piccadilly (18 mins) and Glossop (16 mins). Local bus and taxi services. Sky tv with all channels incl. movies and sports.
