The Camelia is one bedroom, private room on the ground floor overlooking a courtyard and garden. It has a double bed, 2 armchairs, table with coffee/tea making facilities. Bedlinen, towels and toiletries provided. A separate bathroom with shower, sink unit, toilet, free wifi available on premises, free secure parking. Sumptuous breakfast. Only 5 minutes from the National Forest Park. We are only 3 hours from Paris and 1 hour from Mont St Michel. We can help plan your stay, book restaurants .. We are ideally located as a base for touring Normandy or as a stop over for your trip north to the coast or to the south of France. The large bedroom is in the courtyard of a Manor, quiet and self-contained, modern decor and modern facilities yet in a very French setting. A separate bathroom and toilet within your private area. Outside large gardens for walking or sitting with tables and chairs. The Breakfast can be provided on the terrasse or in the dining room of the main house. Extras such as hot chocolate in winter and tea and scones in summer can be booked in advance. Great for a 1 night stopover or for a longer stay in this beautiful area full of history, activities, places to visit and things to do. The room overlooks a courtyard and an enclosed garden open to all guests. At the front entrance to the room there is a small terrace with a table and chairs. There are also other areas for sitting and walking on the property. Covered area for bikes, or motor bikes can be provided and there is ample space for those travelling in camping cars or with trailers. As we live on site we are available 24 hours and we can provide extensive advise on local tourist attractions and general advice. There are tourist guides and information provided in the room. We are less than 5 minutes from a village with all the basic necessities and 15 minutes from a large town. Only 10 minutes away is the spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne, and in the other direction is the historic town of Domfront. Within a 20 km radius there are chateaux, parks, walking & cyclying routes, horse riding, golf, swimming pools..... For those who like antiques there are several antique shops and many local street markets (summer season). As we are situated in the countryside a car is essential. Buses are irregular yet we are only 15 minutes away from a main train station that will connect you to anywhere in France. The ferry from Caen is only 1 1/2 hours away, Paris 3 1/2 hours by car, less by train. We can arrange transport from the local bus/train station. A sumptuous continental breakfast is served generally between 8.30 am and 10 am. This can be served on the terrasse, the gardens or in the dining room of the main house. Daily housekeeping is also included in the price.
