The entrance door opens to a lobby area which leads to a very pleasant dining kitchen, leading through to the sitting room. From the rear hallway steep-ish stairs (with handrail) lead to the first floor. Here you will find two bedrooms, a king-size and double, and a family bathroom. Outside, a small landscaped south facing cottage garden is a lovely place to sit and relax on a sunny day. Located on a quiet village road, where roadside parking is easily found, this pretty cottage is ideal if you are looking for a relaxing rural break, and will suit a couple or two, as well as a small family. Helhoughton is a delightful village surrounded by beautiful countryside, just south west of the market town of Fakenham, and about twenty minutes from the coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea. It is a great base for exploring this beautiful area of North Norfolk, perfect for walking and cycling, as well as visiting local attractions - Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Sculthorpe Hawk and Owl Trust, Houghton Hall, The Thursford Collection and Christmas Spectacular - and enjoying a day at nearby Fakenham Races! Although there is no pub in the village, there is a popular gastro pub at East Rudham which is a seven minute drive away. If you like to walk it's about 3.5 miles, and you can stroll back afterwards and feel rather virtuous! Additional Information: Sorry, no pets. Feather duvets, anti-allergenic pillows. Helhoughton is a small village surrounded by attractive countryside, with lots of quiet country lanes to explore by bike and on foot, as well as beautiful walks from the village. A peaceful location with very good access to the North and West Norfolk Coasts less than half an hour away. Many of the surrounding villages have excellent pubs. The attractive market town of Fakenham is just four miles away, with its racecourse, shops, bowling alley, cinema, restaurants and pubs, and a huge Thursday market and auction rooms people travel far and wide for. The Hawk & Owl Trust at Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve is just five miles from Helhoughton, and Pensthorpe Natural Park is a great day out for all ages just three miles south east of Fakenham. Extreme Woodland High Ropes Adventure Course is eight miles away if you're feeling daring, and National Cycle Routes 1 & 2 are just two of the routes in the locality and they will certainly test your staying power. The coast is also within easy reach, for walking, family picnics at the seaside, wildlife watching, water sports and all the variety Norfolk has to offer.
