The Granary at Old Low Moor Farm near Thirsk
The Granary is a one bedroom house set in open countryside on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The Granary has a comfortable living room with french doors leading on to a pretty cobbled courtyard, there is also a patio with seating looking out on to the tennis court. There is a separate kitchen/dining room with combination microwave/oven, induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher. A feature open tread wooden staircase leads up from the living room to the bedroom with en suite bathroom. The bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and a king sized bed. There is room for a baby’s cot which can be supplied on request. The en suite bathroom has a bath with shower over, washbasin and toilet. Please note that there is a lowish beam in the bedroom and persons over 5ft 11ins will need to duck under it. There is underfloor heating to the ground floor and radiators to the first floor Guests have free use of the tennis court, children’s playground and fishing lake on site. We can provide tennis racquets and balls and fishing gear if required. There is also a large stable block on site and guests are welcome to bring their own horses ( additional fee applies, please enquire) We live on site and are available to deal with queries or problems. We are also very happy to recommend restaurants or places of interest to visit. Although set in open countryside, Old Low Moor Farm is only 4 miles from Thirsk and Northallerton, with their shops, cafes and restaurants. It is on the edge of the North York Moors National Park but there is also easy access to the Yorkshire Dales National Park and North Yorkshire coast. There is a friendly pub in the village about half a mile away which serves excellent food as well as several other good restaurants nearby. A car is essential but many of our guests bring bikes as we are close to a number of national cycle routes. We can provide secure locked storage for bikes as well as washing facilities.
