A 2 bed holiday cottage set in a secluded setting bordering Lane End Common. The cottage is ideally situated for a peaceful stay in the countryside and to visit the numerous local attractions including the Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park House and Garden, Plumpton Racecourse, The South of England Showground, the High Weald AONB and the Sussex coastline including Brighton only 16 miles away. Please note that the main bedroom is directly off of the staircase. The 2nd bedroom is located off of the main bedroom. This property is therefore best suited to a couple or a couple with young child. Please take a look at 2 Badgers Rest if you are looking for something slightly bigger. The owners reside on the land and are very happy to provide information on the local area following your warm welcome to the property. A car is considered necessary when visiting our cottage unless you arrive fully prepared with all provisions and are looking to just go on long walks! The nearest village is Newick which has a small convenience store, a bakery, butcher, pharmacy, 3 pubs and an Indian restaurant. Newick village is a 20 minute walk away. The nearest train station is Hayward’s Heath and is a 15 minute drive. The nearest bus stop is a 15min walk away and offers very limited service. Taxi’s come from either Hayward’s Heath or Uckfield which are both approximately 15 mins away and so advanced booking is therefore recommended. The property is semi detached with our other holiday let - 2 Badgers Rest. The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a walk-in shower only (no bath) This is a self catering cottage - Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Salt, Pepper, Cooking Oil, Cling Film & Aluminium Foil are provided. 2 toilet rolls and 1 kitchen roll included with stay Electric underfloor heating to shower room, centrally heated radiators elsewhere
