Stone Rise Cottage, Belper
Stone Rise Cottage was built in 1874 and has been renovated to its characterful feel today. Entering through the stable-front door, is a traditional kitchen with all the necessities. Beyond this is the lounge with log burner, beams and doors to the stone terrace. There’s also a quaint dining room for evening meals. Upstairs is a modern, renovated bathroom with bath and traditional shower. There are two double bedrooms, both with an elegant feel and a double wardrobe in the second. We offer two-night stays or longer and will accept one well-behaved dog per stay. You have entire, private use during the whole of your stay. Before arrival, guests will be given instructions to enter and enjoy their stay via a welcome email and messages on Air BnB. For security, your personal key safe code will be given to you on the day of arrival, once reset just for you, by our cleaning company. You will then have access to the whole house and an outdoor patio and decking area. If you wish to stay for one-night this might be possible, depending upon our cleaning company. Check-in is typically from 4pm and check-out by 10- although we always let you know if either of these can be earlier and later, depending upon cleaning availability. We will send you a welcome email with key information m, prior to arrival -please do message if you don’t receive this as it may be in your junk emails. We are happy to give recommendations of where to eat, drink, walk and visit and have a welcome guide to browse upon arrival. should you need. Nestled in the historical town of Belper, Stone Rise Cottage sits in an elevated position just a five minute walk from the centre of the quaint market town - recently awarded High Street of the Year. It is surrounded by lush, green Derbyshire Peak hillside and rich historical buildings. The town also boasts over 20 pubs and bars, from cocktail bars to microbreweries. Belper train station is just a 11 minute walk away from the cottage, offering frequent trains to locations such as Matlock, Bakewell, Derby and London, should you require. You can get around via car, bike, walk or train! There’s a local train station just a short 6 minute walk from the cottage where you can hop on to visit places like Matlock. We have a walking book in the kitchen for those wishing to adventure into the hills and are happy to provide places to visit, if you have children like -Gulliver’s Kingdom, Crich Tramway and local farms. We do not permit smoking inside the cottage in any area. If you wish to smoke, please do so on the decking around the corner or opposite, in the churchyard. Please do not smoke outside the lounge as this blows directly onto our neighbours.
