Peckerwood cottage, Ashford-in-the-water, Bakewell

Peckerwood Cottage is a charming two bedroom stone built cottage with garden set in the Peak District nr Bakewell and Chatsworth. We are surrounded by walking and cycling routes including the Monsal Trail. The property occupies a peaceful, picturesque, backwater of Ashford-in-the-Water within easy reach of local shops and bars. We often see wildlife around the property including rabbits, pheasants, horses and woodpeckers! We use a national firm of cleaners adopting Covid cleaning policies. Our cottage is surrounded by stunning Derbyshire countryside with easy access to local walks and cycle trails. The Monsal Pass cycle/ walking trail is close by. Bakewell is a 5 minute drive away. If nature is not enough for you we provide modern comforts such as internet, Netflix and Amazon Prime. We have a garden for summer BBQ's and provided a small dining set. The accommodation comprises sitting room with log burning stove, fitted dining kitchen, at first floor two bedrooms and bathroom. Logs are not provided! There is a sofa bed but we do not provide any bedding or pillows for this - you must provide your own if you wish to use it. The cottage is yours to roam around. You will have free roam of the cottage Ashford-in-the water is an amazing little village near Bakewell. It has three lovely country bars/ restaurants providing food and beverage. It also has a small cafe and local convenience store. For a livelier town, Bakewell is just a short taxi journey away. Crime rates are extremely low. Enjoy walking around and experiencing country life. There are buses to Bakewell. Taxi companies operate locally. Lots of walking and cycling routes. *Covid update: We use a professional national cleaning firm and they will be applying a more rigorous cleaning regime as part of containing the outbreak. They will wipe down all touchpoints in the property. We will also be asking you to strip beds and bag the linen or departure to help protect them and others.
