Big characterful Farmhouse near the Peak District sleeping up to 18 in 9 bedrooms. Raven House Farm is 800+ years old though most of it is 17th century. In addition to a large lounge, it boasts a spacious conservatory looking out onto the rear gardens, lawn, patio's, firepit and BBQ. The dining room has a beamed ceiling, exposed walls and wood burner, whilst the large kitchen is fully equipped to cater for 18. Upstairs bedrooms are accessed by two sets of stairs. There is ample parking. This is truly a unique quirky house set over many levels. Be transported back a few hundred years and experience the age of the place. Guest have access to the entire house except the few rooms for servicing, which are locked. Due to the coronavirus, we are now taking extra steps to deep clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations. This includes the use of 70% alcohol-based sanitizers and steam cleaning in the bathrooms and kitchen. All our linen is washed at 60C or above and pressure steam ironed. We adhere to a high-level cleaning schedule as advised by Airbnb. You can be assured we take your families and our staff’s safety very seriously. We offer self entry via your own coded key safe. this means help with self isolation. Tibshelf, an old mining village and site of the UK's first inland oil well, is now a residential village with several pubs, family butchers, Co-op and post office. It has easy access to the motorway system and rail network within 5 miles and is close to the Peak District. Tibshelf has recreation fields, access to the Five Pits Trail network for walking and cycling and fishing ponds with day tickets available. The Five Pits Trail runs approximately 12 miles (19 km), from Tibshelf to Grassmoor Country Park. The house can accommodate around 8+ cars parked in the front courtyard. Buses stop outside the Co-op which is approximately 400 meters from the house. The closest train station is Alfreton, (5 miles). Due to the age and nature of the property it has several steps and some uneven floors. Downstairs bedrooms are available.
