The open-plan house is fully refurbished including all the bedrooms which have TV, a work space, and views of either the golf course or the woodland garden. Wickham Square is only a two minute walk away with its many restaurants, bars, take-aways and a late night supermarket. The house is located in a quiet and secluded country lane yet only two minutes walk from Wickham Square and its many bars, restaurants, coffee houses and shops. The setting will suit those who are looking for a relaxed countryside experience but with all the conveniences of a modern open-plan house and a vibrant day and nightlife virtually on tap. The only areas of the house where access is restricted is the annex which is being refurbished (but not while guests are in residence) and the owners bedroom on the first floor. I am available by mobile 24/7 if there is any issue while staying at the property. The neighbourhood is friendly and quiet but only a short walk from the vibrancy of Wickham Square, with two Indian restaurants, three bars and restaurants, five tea houses, two supermarkets, a butchers, a newsagents, a hardware store, a Chinese takeaway, a bakery shop, a post office and three hairdressing salons. For guests who enjoy golf there is a course across the road, and the river at the bottom of the garden is available for fishing as the house retains private fishing rights. The property is also in close proximity to the old railway line that runs from Wickham to Alton, which the National Trust maintains now as hiker and biker trail. The M27 is close by and within twenty minutes drivers can be in Portsmouth, Southampton or Winchester exploring their respective attractions. There is a bus service from Wickham Square during the day and early evening, and the nearest train station is Fareham, which is about four miles away. If guests have infants or older children they must ensure that they are either kept away from the pond and river, or accompanied at all times if they wish to observe the wild ducks and fish.
