Vävstugan, an idyllic Swedish cottage from ca 1850

Our place is located on a former förläggargård (now an eco-museum ) , in lush Ätradalen . It is only 2 km to the nearest lake where you can swim and fish from our own little island. The cottage is newly renovated and very cozy, with a fireplace in the living room and a private sauna. The surroundings are great for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and cycling. It´s 40 km to Sweden's biggest tourist attraction, the department store Ge-Kås in Ullared, 100 km to Gothenburg and Liseberg. The cottage is a picturesque traditional Swedish red painted cottage. We do not know the exact year it was built, but it is somewhere around (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Downstairs there is a kitchen, living room, bathroom, sauna and a double bedroom. Upstairs there is a small bedroom with two single beds, and an open hall with a double bed (and a small ping pong table :) We know that the house has been used for many purposes, for example for laundry, as a loom (Josefin's great great aunt worked here ..) and as a hunting lodge and home. The easiest way to get around the area is by car, and you have a private parking with space for 3 cars at the house. The area around the cottage is very suitable for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, cycling, canoeing and bird watching. Nearby there is also the opportunity to ride Icelandic horses. We who own the cottage is Axel and Josefin and our two kids Blanka and Karl. They live close to the cottage, while Axel and Josefin lives in Stockholm. Josefins father Peter who lives close by will be available to help out if needed. From the cottage it is 40km to Sweden's biggest tourist attractions , department store Ge- Kas in Ullared . It is possible to get there by bus, but it only passes once or twice a day. Closest busstop is "Lerbäcksbo". From there to the cottage is a 500 meter walk. Firewood for the stove and sauna is included in the rent and is replenished on arrival.
