The Old Spa Rooms at Church Cottage

Church Cottage lies in 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the beautiful village of Escrick, 6 miles from the centre of York. The building dates back to 1850 and is also home to an award-winning Thai restaurant The Old Spa Rooms are situated on the first floor and are self-contained and not shared. This spacious apartment has a bright and airy sitting/dining room with solid bamboo floors and lovely garden views. There's also a separate kitchen, luxury bathroom and large double/twin bedroom. York with its racecourse, shops - and not forgetting all that history - lies only 15 minutes away by car or bus. Even closer is the York Designer Outlet, an irresistible attraction for those wanting serious retail therapy. There's a convenient Park and Ride there too. Guests with interests more outdoors than indoors, may prefer the peace and quiet of Escrick and the surrounding countryside. Very close to us are internationally important nature reserves at Skipwith Common and the Lower Derwent Valley Frequent buses to York and Selby stop near the end of our drive. The National Cycle Network runs from the centre of York across the Vale of York to Selby and follows the track of the old East Coast Mainline railway. Cyclists can safely explore the area without needing to venture onto any busy roads.
