The Hay Loft at Lockerley Manor is situated on the edge of Lockerley village, a 20 minute drive from Winchester & Salisbury, 10 minutes to the New Forest and Peppa Pig World, and Mottisfont Abbey is 5 minutes away. The Hay Loft lies within the grounds of the Manor House, overlooking sheep in the paddocks. There are sheep, pigs and free range chickens as well as honey bees within the grounds, and home reared produce for sale when available. The building has recently been refurbished to a very high standard by an interior designer. The sitting room and kitchen/dining area have vaulted ceilings with lots of dimmable lighting designed for each space. The old charm of the building has been retained but it has been modernised with comfort in mind. The entire interior has been well insulated, there are new sash windows and it has underfloor heating throughout. Settle in to two cosy & luxurious ensuite double/twin bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen with dining table and a large separate sitting room with tv & surround sound, wifi, netflix, and wood burner. With increased awareness of the importance of cleanliness, we follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, including all of the following: We sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay Guests will have exclusive use of the entire Hay Loft access to the bedrooms, kitchen/diner and sitting room in the property, they will have their own sheltered south facing seating area over looking the front paddock and are welcome to use the Orchard and paddocks, and can have use of the tennis court. We are usually at home to show you around and advise on any questions you may have. There is a key safe with the key in it for you to check-in and out. Lockerley Manor is on the edge of the village on a quiet lane. The village has its own shop, and there are lots of good pubs and restaurants nearby. Mottisfont Abbey (National Trust) is 5 mins away by car, and we are very close to the New Forest. There are beaches and sea at Mudeford, Hengistbury Head and Lymington. We are also close to Winchester, Salisbury and Southampton, as well as the old market towns of Romsey and Stockbridge. We are also 10 mins away from Peppa Pig World and Paultons Park. It is best to have a car if staying at Lockerley Manor. The house is a 3 minute drive from Dunbridge and Mottisfont train station which runs trains to Salisbury, Bath, Romsey and Southampton. It is about 20 minutes from Southampton airport, and 30 minutes from the Southampton docks. We fully ventilate all rooms and then we deep clean the entire building top to bottom, followed by disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces. The twin room can be made up as a super king size bed if required - please request when booking.
