Beachside period family home. 5 BR spacious, comfy
In a private cul-de-sac, facing a private green immediately behind the sea wall with a gate offering direct access to Dymchurch's large & beautiful sandy beach. My family home since 1967 has been recently renovated offering spacious accommodation & beds for ten guests in five bedrooms. One en-suite shower room & two further family bathrooms/shower rooms. A well equipped kitchen, large dining table & utility room with washing machine, dryer & extra fridge. A perfect family beach retreat. Enjoy the spacious sitting room with sofas and a lovely cushioned window seat; a separate TV room and a garden facing sun room as well as the large front and rear gardens, all well screened for privacy and wind. The modern kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster & DeLonghi bean to cup coffee machine, as well as dishwasher, sharp knives and a good range of utensils, crockery, glasses and cutlery. A large dining table comfortably seats eight. Also on the ground floor is a loo and utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and extra fridge (ideal for stocking up with wine and beer!) Up one flight of stairs to the first floor are three bedrooms and access to the terrace over the veranda. The master bedroom with a large double bed and ensuite shower room and the four poster room with 1m80cm (6') mattress face the sea and a single bedroom with 1m20cm (4') bed facing the garden. A family bathroom with bath and a separate loo complete the first floor. Upstairs to the top floor is another large double bedroom (1m60cm / 5'4" bed) and a children's room with two single beds (90cm / 3') and a further pull out mattress complete the sleeping arrangements - both rooms have sea views. There is also a further shower room and a small workspace with a desk and chair on the landing. The entire house excluding a locked workshop and locked garage. Available by 'phone during your stay in case of emergencies. The tranquillity of a private green and direct access to the huge sandy beach of Dymchurch - close enough to walk to the village of Dymchurch but far enough away to ensure the beach here is never crowded. A ten minute walk (2 minute drive) brings you to the village of Dymchurch with a Tesco mini store, coffee shop, traditional fun fair and the station for the miniature steam railway - Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (www dot (Website hidden by Airbnb) dot uk). Just a two minute walk away is the Ship Inn which is recently refurbished and also has a decent restaurant (www dot shipinndymchurch dot co dot uk). Getting to New Romney and Hythe for larger supermarkets (Sainsbury / Waitrose / Aldi) and Lympne Castle & Zoo (www dot asp (Email hidden by Airbnb) takes about 15 minutes. Roam further to Folkestone, Dover, Rye and Canterbury in around 30-45 minutes for further sightseeing, activities, shopping, pubs and restaurants. From 2020 (post-COVID19 lockdown) we've invested in a professional fogging machine and we're fogging the house between guests using Viro-Kill RTU, a sanitiser used in hospitals and proven effective in killing coronavirus. By fogging the house we're able to ensure to the maximum extent possible that guest hygiene is protected.
