Make lifelong memories with your family and friends --hike to waterfalls, roast marshmallows at the fire pit, go horseback riding, or just relax in a rocking chair with a good book. Guests have access to the property and neighborhood park/common area and lake. Fishing is allowed in the neighborhood lake. Boats and swimming are not allowed. Two locked closets (on the second and third floors) are reserved for the hosts' personal belongings. Wireless internet is provided inside the cabin. This rural area has spotty cell service for some cell phone companies. Guests drive on narrow gravel roads through the neighborhood and up a sloping driveway to park next to the cabin. Guests use gravel or concrete steps to access the cabin. There are flights of steps to access the 3 cabin levels. The house is for guests to enjoy with minimal interaction with hosts, unless maintenance is needed. Guests will use self-check in procedure described in the house guide once they have a confirmed reservation. If guests have a concern or question, they should contact the hosts to remedy the problem quickly. Sylvan Lake Falls Community is at the base of Black Rock Mountain. Individuals who have difficulty climbing stairs will want to seek alternative accommodations. * The loft bedroom has a sloping ceiling. Two sides of the room have a low ceiling, as does the adjacent half bath. * The cabin is located in the mountains. Various wildlife, such as mallards, deer, raccoons, and black bears reside in this region. * Guests must keep food/beverages sealed and stored in the refrigerator and not left around the house and property to discourage wild animals from the property. * The cabin has a 40-gallon hot water heater. Guests may want to stagger showers for adequate hot water. * The internet is fast. If it begins to slow down, turn off extra electronic devices to maintain speed. * When driving through the neighborhood to the cabin, don't be alarmed by the " no trespassing" signs. The neighborhood posted them to prevent outsiders from fishing and swimming in the private lake. They are not directed at our paying guests. * The cabin has central heat and air. Downstairs is supplemented with baseboard heaters. * Portable heaters and fans are available. House Rules * No smoking * Not suitable for pets * No parties or events * Not suitable for infants under 2 years of age. * Children must be closely supervised, especailly if crawling or just learning to walk. The cabin has rough hewn walls, wood plank floors, stairs and an upstairs deck. Check-in is anytime after 4 p.m. Check out by 11 a.m. Self check-in with electronic combination * Treat the home and its contents with respect, as if it were your own home. * Please turn off lights and appliances when not in use. * Fishing is allowed in the neighborhood lake. Boating and swimming are not. * Smoking, parties, firearms, and pets are not allowed. * Minimize noise from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. * Guests are asked to please follow the check out checklist, which includes placing used towels and sheets in the washing machine area, cleaning dishes in dishwasher, removing trash, and turning off lights and appliances. * If additional cleaning is required after guests leave, it will be taken from deposit. You must also acknowledge * Must climb stairs - Individuals with mobility challenges will be challenged in the cabin. * Guests must climb steep stairs to access cabin and 3 levels. * Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $350.
