This historic village is located between Ilkley and Skipton and sits snugly in the valley of the River Wharfe, only three miles from the Dales National Park at Bolton Abbey. A corn mill near where High Mills is today was also mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1315, and over from the river is a weir, one of the most ancient medieval constructions in the village. Scenic Bolton Abbey is close by, and visitors shouldn't leave Addingham without taking a picturesque stroll along the river to the "Strid". Today Addingham is vibrant and thriving local community surrounded by stunning countryside and boasts little shops, fine pubs serving wonderful ales and a rather pleasing golf course.
