Recently refurbished 16th century cottage (grade 2 listed building) sleeps 4, including master en suite. Exposed timber beams add character and quirky style, set in a quiet lane in a village close to Suffolk's heritage coast. Perfect location to enjoy famous local offerings such as seaside village Aldeburgh, international music hall Snape Maltings and the Minsmere RSPB reserve. Ample walking and cycle routes in the surrounding areas, easy access to the nearby market town of Saxmundham. The cottage is 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4 comfortably. The master bedroom on the top floor is equipped with en suite, including roll top bath. The second bedroom on the first floor is inter-changable from king bed to 2 x singles on request. There is a full spacious bathroom on the ground floor with bath and shower. The kitchen area is fully equipped and recently refurbished, including appliances and utensils to cater for 4 persons. Within the ground floor living / dining area, you will find extra comfort next to the cosy wood burner, also including a Smart TV which can be used for on demand viewing. The outside patio area and front driveway provide great areas for relaxing and enjoying the quiet open village air! The driveway can fit 2 cars, however you may choose to use for just one car, and use the car park adjacent to the village hall, just 2 minutes on foot from the cottage. The cottage has steep and windy stairs, so it is not suitable for people with mobility problems. You will have access to my full property and outside area. There is storage space throughout. My house is primarily set up for guest use - however you will find some personal belongings around as I use the property myself at times! The property is located in picturesque Kelsale village, approx 5 miles from Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings and the Minsmere RSPB reserve. Don't miss a look at St Mary and St Peter's church in Kelsale with its striking lychgate. The village pub, The Poachers Pocket is 15 / 20 mins walk or a short drive across the main road and country lane. The pub serves delightful homecooked lunch and dinners and offers a great sun trap beer garden to enjoy a local ale! The Poachers Pocket has limited opening hours, but there are also pubs and restaurants in Saxmundham (1.5 miles away). Check out the Cinnamon In Leiston or the Prince of Bengal in Saxmundham, if you like Indian cooking. There are no shops in Kelsale village but Saxmundham has Tescos and Waitrose stores (open up to 10.00pm weekdays, up to 5.00pm Sunday). The cottage is around 1.5 miles from Saxmundham which has a regular train service to Ipswich and Lowestoft. Taxis can be booked from Saxmundham station. There is parking available for 2 cars at the cottage and additional street parking nearby. Please note there is a piano in the living room - it is has personal value to me. You are very welcome to use if you play I just ask it be treated with respect! ( I would be devastated if it became damaged from misuse) Thank You.
