In a peaceful location in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with views over fields this self contained barn sleeps 4. Situated twix Ham (Pub) & Shalbourne (pub, shop, playground, church). Hungerford station to Paddington is 3 miles away & the pretty market town of Marlborough is 20 minutes drive. Easy access to K & A Canal, National Trust at Avebury & Stonehenge and an hour from Oxford, Bath, Salisbury & Winchester. Weekly & monthly discounts. Longer lets preferred Due to the stairs property is not suitable for wheelchair users. The lounge has a woodburner for cooler weather (one basket of logs provided free). Heating supplied by an Air Source Heat Pump to radiators in each room so very cosy when the weather is not so good. Plenty of parking spaces. Large garden with table and chairs and plenty of room for games The Barn is self contained. Owners Nick and Erica live in the adjoining property and are on hand for advise etc. Plenty of footpaths nearby. Recreation ground with childrens play equipment, outdoor table tennis table (ask us to borrow bats and balls) and boules pitch a 20 minutes walk away along footpaths. Nearby is the Crown + Anchor in Ham and The Plough in Shalbourne both a 20 minute walk and dog friendly. The Kennet & Avon Canal runs through Hungerford and Bedwyn and the historic Crofton Pumping Station is about 15 minutes drive away. Hungerford and Marlborough are both attractive market towns (Hungerford on Wednesdays) (Marlborough on Thursdays and Saturdays). There are 2 stations both about 3.5 miles away. One is Hungerford and the other Great Bedwyn. The number 20 bus from Hungerford to Marlborough stops at Great Bedwyn Station and there are 4 buses a day Monday to Friday, 3 on Saturday but none on Sunday. The trains eastbound are to London Paddington and west bound to the west country. Reading station giving access to a lot more of the train network. Junction 14 of the M4 is approx 15 minute drive away via Hungerford. External electric socket for charging electric cars
