Summary: This recently renovated and whitewashed attractive Cottage sits in the grounds and of the beautiful and challenging Milngavie Golf Course. It is tucked in behind the main Clubhouse, which is at the end of a private road through a delightful farm and the Cottage has dedicated car park spaces for the users of the Cottage. The Course and therefore the surrounds of the Cottage are set in beautiful countryside and woodland which must look very much today as it did over 100 hundred years ago. The Space: The Cottage can sleep up to 6/8 guests and offers 3 spacious bedrooms (one of which has an ensuite), two with large built in walk-in Wardrobes and a free-standing wardrobe in the smaller of the bedrooms. A good-sized Living Room with a Wood Burning Stove (logs available) and patio doors leading on to Decking (with Chairs and a Table) providing views over the local walkway and the River Allander is close enough to hear the water gently running down to the Salmon Leap in Milngavie. There is a good-sized well stocked Kitchen/Dining Room, shower room and toilet, two store Cupboards and a back door onto the back garden and Decking. Plus, two dedicated car parking spaces outside the Cottage. Wi-Fi is available, Hive controlled heating and hot water is provided by an oil based central heating system with radiators in all rooms, easy access to the Clubhouse and facilities and attractive discounted Golf Packages to play Milngavie Golf Course are available to all guests. Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire cottage, parking outside the cottage and use of the bar and catering facilities in the clubhouse. The Neighborhood: The cottage is situated in the grounds of the golf club so is surrounded by beautiful green space and plenty of areas to explore including the West Highland Way which can be accessed 2 minutes from the front door. The cottage is next to the clubhouse so there are golfers that will be coming and going but in the evenings it will be very quiet. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Getting Around: Due to the location of the property a car is essential unless you are planning to stay before setting off on the West Highland Way. We are just 1 mile from the official start point in Milngavie. The cottage is 10 miles from Glasgow City Centre and 14 miles from Glasgow International Airport. It is a 10 minute drive to the centre of Milngavie which has a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a train station that takes you in to Glasgow City Centre. How to Find Us The Cottage is best reached by car or walking from Milngavie using the Clyde Coastal Path, West Highland Way or a popular local walk. It is only 8.2 miles from Glasgow city centre but is in a delightfully rural location. By car, it is not far off the main road from Bearsden to Drymen (A809) and it briefly passes through a local farm and the scenery just gets better and better after a few yards when you enter the Course area. Do take care as you enter, the road to the Cottage crosses three fairways, where cars have the right of way. For your satnav, the Postcode is G62 8EP.
