Dairy Cottage is one of the original farm cottages in a quiet corner of the farmyard on our beautiful 16th century farm. The farm is at the end of a quiet country lane in the middle of its own land in the heart of Mid Sussex. The village of Cuckfield is appx one mile by road. A footpath runs directly to the village from the farm through beautiful countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Cuckfield has a good selection of shops, Pubs and restaurants. Dairy cottage has one bedroom with a big comfy 5 foot double bed. The sofa in the open plan lounge converts into a small double sofa bed if required. The sofa bed is suitable for children or two small adults, unfortunately it is slightly too small for two full size adults ( see photos ). The cottage is situated on the edge of the old Tudor farmyard overlooking adjacent paddocks and beautiful countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage is self catering, clean towel's and linen are provided once a week and there is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the nearby barn available for guests to use. It has its own private enclosed garden with outside table and chairs. The parking space for the cottage is a few yards from the front door. Dairy cottage is a self catering cottage. There are many public footpaths from the farm that lead in all directions through countryside designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Guests bringing a dog should be aware that dogs must be kept on a lead in the farm yard and when walking through any field containing livestock especially sheep, cattle and horses. There are plenty of footpaths and open space nearby for dogs to walk off the lead so please ask for directions. The pretty village of Cuckfield is just under a mile away and can be reached by footpath directly from the farm while enjoying stunning views over Mid Sussex. The drive to the village takes about 5 min by car. We live and work on the farm and will be pleased to help with directions and information on local attractions, Pubs , restaurant's and shops. The pretty village of Cuckfield is in the heart of Mid Sussex and is in easy reach of the south coast resorts of Brighton, Worthing and Littlehampton. The beautiful gardens of Board Hill are nearby and can be reached by a footpath direct from the farm through the countryside situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it only takes about 30 min to walk direct from the farm. The National trust properties of Nymans Garden at Staplefield and Wakehurst Place at Ardingly are both only about 15 min drive. The Ardingly reservoir has sailing, rowing and other water sports available. There are many restaurants and Pubs within easy reach of the farm. There is so much to see or just enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the cottage. Parking directly outside the cottage ( please advise us if you have more than one car, or an extra large vehicle and we will do our best to accommodate you ).
