The Loft at Newnham Lodge

In the middle of our farm, the Loft is a detached, self-contained first floor apartment accessed via an external oak staircase. There are 2 bedrooms, a huge bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower, a galley kitchen (two ring hob, microwave and combi oven/grill), and ample living space. The Loft sleeps a max of 4 people with either 2 superkings OR one superking and 2 singles. A cot is also available. There is a dining table, sofas with TV, and a flat-screen TV in each bedroom. Decorated in a contemporary lodge style, the Loft has glorious views over the rolling countryside of the Nene Valley. Well situated for Silverstone, Towcester Racecourse, Althorp, Dodford Manor, Dodmoor House, Fawsley Hall and only ten miles from Northampton and three miles from Daventry, the Loft nevertheless offers total seclusion in exceptionally peaceful surroundings. There is direct access on to a footpath from the farm, leading to the scenic Nene Valley Way, on which you will find the cosy Plough Inn at Everdon - a country pub just as it should be. The Loft is surrounded by animals and wildlife. In addition to the deer, foxes, duck, pheasants, hares, partridge, moorhens, herons and an abundance of other birds that roam the farm, Newnham Lodge is home to 2 New Forest ponies, a herd of pedigree Simmental cattle and a flock of pedigree Wiltshire Horn sheep The Loft is a self-contained property but it does sit within the grounds of our home which is a working farm. Therefore, if you are expecting to have additional visitors during your stay, or require more than two parking spaces, please contact us in advance. Guests are welcome to access the footpath via the farm to undertake a number of walks through the Nene Valley. For obvious reasons we ask that guests stay off the rest of the farm due to the animals grazing, but if you would like to meet any of the animals we would be delighted to arrange this on request. We live on the farm and are available to assist with anything during your stay, but otherwise guests can come and go as they please and need not encounter us at all if they wish (but do feel free to pop over and say hello!) There are two parking spaces adjacent to the Loft. If you require additional parking this will need to be arranged in advance. The Loft sleeps a maximum of four people (plus one infant in the cot). We do not accept bookings for more than this number. This property is not suitable for guests wishing to get ready for their own wedding. Please do not book if this is the purpose of your visit. The kitchen facilities are limited. There is a fridge with freezer compartment, a two ring ceramic hob, a microwave and a small combi-oven/grill. The Loft does not have a full size oven, dishwasher, washing machine or iron. If you need to use an iron you are welcome to use ours in the main house.
