Modern specious self contained apartment situated in the centre of the village of Ditchling, 1 mile from Hassocks Train station, 500 little steps to pubs and 767 on return. The apartment has almost everything you might need , washing machine , dishwasher , fully fitted kitchen , shower and bathroom ,outside space, privacy. We have beautiful surrounding countryside walks , wonderful pubs with open fires and great menus! check out our museum , coffee shops and don't forget the south downs! Our apartment sits above our spacious double garage . There is a wide staircase to the left which takes you to the apartment door . Our garden is secluded and not overlooked . There is a table and chairs on the lawn for your use , either to sit and chat or have a glass of wine . There is parking space , but with 5 cars here , it may be easier for you to park on East End Lane ( top of the drive ) Our house is situated conveniently in the centre of the village , but is very quiet . The entire space is privately yours! This is a detached building to our Family home and has its own access. Parking can be slightly restricted ( we have four cars parked on the drive..... all in constant use , but we will do everything we can to give you full access , if you do have a very large car , it might be easier for you to park in East End Lane? ..... please dont think for us, ... for you !! I would consider myself to be very sociable and friendly , but I respect my guests privacy, I would never interfere . I would normally be in our main house and am always available for help or advice . Ditchling is a fair sized village surrounded by beautiful countryside. We have a very modern museum , a very active 13 th century Church , everyone is welcome to visit . We have two very good pubs , The White Horse and the Bull , both have their menus on line , both only less than 10 minutes to walk to . We have a post office , the green Wellie coffee shop , Pruden Smith the silversmiths , The Nutmeg tea shop which has a beautiful secluded garden , Notcutts garden centre .. and an abundance of local walks on the South Downs National Park . We are all very dog and bike friendly . Designated off street parking space for all guests. Ditchling is perfect for leaving the car on the drive and getting your walking shoes on . If you prefer hassocks railway station is a little more than a mile away . From Hassocks railway station , Brighton trains are frequent and about a 7 minute journey . Trains to London run about every hour and take around an hour to get into the centre of London . We are surrounded by beautiful pubs and villages ... no need to go far !!!
