Dovehouse Farm Barns

We have two barn conversions on our farm which we let on a weekly basis, some bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, and all our cottages have fully equipped kitchens, power showers, and views over our fields to the Chilterns. Out two cottages are converted from redundant farm buildings, the Stalls (sleeps 2) is a stone and wychert barn built about 350 years ago, and The Hayloft (sleeps 6) was built as a 6 horse stable 140 years ago. There is a shared laundry room next to our cottages, each cottage has a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. There is a private decked area with furniture for each cottage. We are 35 minutes out of London on the train and 16 miles from oxford and Henley. Each cottages has an information booklet about the local amenities and places to visit. The cottages are for your use with a private decked area at the entrance to each cottage. There is a small field next to the cottages where children can play. We are a working farm so all the farm buildings are out of bounds. We will greet you when you arrive at our cottages, and we are available to answer questions, recommend local pubs, and point you towards local tourist attractions. We live next door to the cottages so are able to sort out any problems that may arise during your stay. Our farm is set in rural Buckinghamshire with views over our fields to the Chilterns which is an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Thame is our local market town, and nearby is the historic village of Haddenham which is frequently used to film Midsomer Murders. Oxford is 14 miles away with its 'dreaming spires' which are so familiar to anyone who has watched Morse and Lewis. We do not have public transport in Kingsey, but the Chiltern railway line runs through Haddenham, and Thame has numerous bus links to surrounding towns. We have a parking next to each cottage which easily accommodates up to 3 cars There is currently no Wifi in our cottages, we do not allow pets (except assistance pets) to stay on the premesis, and our whole property is non-smoking.
