Steampunk Room - for Steampunk Aficionados

An eclectic example of a bedroom from the steampunk era that never was...We created this neo-Victorian room for all aficionados of the steampunk and dieselpunk culture. Enjoy a TV with gramophone speakers or use our steampunked fridge or microwave. We think you will find the steampunk room an exciting lodging adventure. Even if you are not a steampunker, the culture, inventions and styles are exciting. Of course since the steampunk era is simply a grownup fantasy, it is fun to try to create an example of something that never was. We love the steampunk culture with its neo-Victorian styles, its quasi scientific thing·a·ma·jigs and lets not forget the dirigibles, steam powered flying machines, and the culture writers like Verne and Wells. Hey, why couldn't this be all real? What an era! The room allows you private access and you would also have access to the main house which gives you a movie room and exercise room. We love to host and chat with our guest, but we also understand that many like to stay private - and that is okay of course. We are located in the famed big thicket and only 5 miles from Village Creek park. The Book Nook Inn is in the country so you need a car to really explore the area. We have fishing on the premise and if you do not have a fishing pole we will be glad to rent one to you.
