House at The Hill

My place is close to Durham City only 7 miles away , public transport, parks. You’ll love my place because of the location, , the ambiance, the people, the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Anyone and everyone welcome. Musicans, actors. VEGAN/Veggie friendly too, We have a dog a wonderfull Golden Retriever but he is very friendly to guests and us too! Its our family home, its an old house and as such has the usual quirks of an old house. Style, mix and match of bohemian old and new. Its warm, cosy, clean, easy going. and this is the KING SUITE room of the house (eventually will be ensuite but not at this time). There is space for laptop, wardrobe drawers, kettle and tray in room, hairdryer and you are welcome to use the iron too. Clean towels are in the room and there is a guest toiletries basket if you are travelling light. BREAKFAST IS NOT Included in this price. Bbut I am happy to leave out the breakfast ingredients for you either continental style or full cooked..... Though you make this yourself. The table will be left and set for you. Price is £3/4 per person depending on what you have. You can use the kitchen if you so wish to cook, Breakfast is offered by donation of say £3/4 depending. There is always a good selection of organic oats/muesili and fresh eggs/meats for cooked breakfast. You can help yourself to anything or just ask if you are unsure. Though i do like to set the table for guests and am usually around to help. I am even known to bake a fresh loaf of artisan bread, with notice lol. MAP of our area and county provided. i could provide help with directions or places to go if needed. By car you can be in the wonderful city of Durham and all its beautiful surroundings and lovely cafe culture shops (URL HIDDEN) under 10 mins...........Mostly i should be around and am glad to offer any help.I plan to get a couple of guest guide books, to stay in the room to help with maps etc........ Quiet former mining village has local shops banks takeaways, close by we have lovely walks and parks and countryside. BEACHES ARE only about 30 mins drive away to the East Coast we have Seaham, Hartlepool, Blackhall Coliery, South Shields...... Towns we have beautiful Durham City, 10 mins Sunderland City, approx 25, Newcastle City, 40 mins (traffic dependent). South we have Stockton on Tees, and the wonderful Tees Barrage, Middlesbrough Town, and al around lots of beautiful quaint villages, Bishop Middleham, Sedgefield and famouns NO 4 Tea Shop and Cafe, The Tea Shop, etc.. EXCELLENT TRANSPORT LINKS THE MAIN A1 motorway leave junction 60 or 61 we are a couple of miles in. Main A167. Nearby 689 to middelesbrough, stockton hartlepool. Close to Durham City. From Durham close to Sunderland. Its very centrally located. 28 miles t0 NEWCASTLE. biggest towns are Durham and Darlington, Bishop Auckland. perfect location leaving motorways and yet close enough and affordable for you to enjoy your stay and use it as a good base for your stay in the North East. Just need to have x24 hours notice to ensure room is clean and tidy. Any special preferences for breakfasts if required.
