Tortoise Hill villa is set in a mature olive grove with sweeping views over the Erimitis Peninsula across the Corfu Channel to the magnificent Albanian mountains beyond. The villa is a 15 minute walk down to the picturesque fishing village of Kassiopi on the North-East coast of Corfu. The villa is fully air-conditioned with a well-equipped open-plan kitchen leading onto the dining room and sitting room. The living area offers a large flat screen Smart TV with Wi-Fi. The kitchen features an American style fridge/freezer, electric oven, microwave, ceramic hob, and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine, iron and ironing board available for guests. All four bedrooms are air-conditioned with en-suite shower rooms. Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds both with French doors opening onto the front and rear terraces. The two bedrooms upstairs are reached via a generous staircase, one room has a king-sized bed and the other twin beds both with "Juliet" balconies. The villa has an expansive sun terrace and infinity swimming pool with spectacular views of the sea and mountains beyond. There is an outdoor cooking area, built into the natural rock of the hillside with a large BBQ, wood fired pizza oven, stone sink and a preparation table. It is linked to the main terrace by the dining deck which is shaded by ancient olive trees and provides an ideal space ideal for alfresco dining. Situated in its own grounds with mature olive trees, the villa is accessed via a gated entrance from a quiet lane. The surfaced tarmac lane provides easy access by foot, bicycle or car to Kassiopi village. The villa has ramp access for pushchairs and wheelchairs from the driveway to the terrace and house. The village of Kassiopi has plenty of shops, supermarkets, bakeries, a delicatessen, a fishmonger, and pharmacies and doctors surgeries. The nearest supermarket is 900m from the villa. Personalised deliveries can be arranged with Nikos, the supermarket owner. Kassiopi offers a wide array of restaurants and bars, both on the main street as you enter the village and also around the harbour. There is a hairdresser and beauty salon in the centre of the village. Postal and transport services are also available, including a taxi rank at the village square for airport transfer. A variety of excursions including horse-riding, fishing and boat trip are available at travel agents . There are regular morning and evening boat trips from Kassiopi harbour to Corfu Town. Self-drive boats available at the harbour are ideal for exploring the beautiful coastline and for stopping off at waterside tavernas and secluded beaches. Sailboats, windsurfers, canoes and stand-up paddle boards are available for hire at Avlaki beach which is two kilometres from the villa. The beaches and tavernas of San Stefanos and Kerasia are fifteen minutes away by car. There is a shoreline path which runs between the many beaches and coves along the Corfu Channel. For the energetic, there are well-marked running/jogging paths into the hills and also along the shoreline. The quiet country lanes surrounding the villa are ideal for an evening stroll.
