Perfect base for Maldon and sailing - with ensuite

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. I work shifts so can potentially host people during the week if I have enough notice of 3 weeks. We also have a drying room for any wet gear from sailing, kayaking or walking. Free car parking in a quiet cul de sac. Lovely walks alongside the river and canal to the coast. If you have any other questions....just ask! A large, airy south-facing and bright double bedded room with ensuite shower room. Cupboard space and drawers available. Digital TV. Hairdryer and straightening irons if requested! Mini fridge also available if requested for stays of 2 nights or more. If you require a fridge for medication then you are welcome to use our main one. Use of the kitchen, garden and lounge if they want to spend some time with us. We also have a treadmill and kayaking machine that guests can use......and reluctantly......a drum kit also! It's your choice as to how much you want to interact with us. I should be here when you stay to help with any queries. And if I can't help then Charlie, our house rabbit, will probably be around to check on you! If you want to join us to watch a film on Netflix that is also fine! In the summer the garden is lovely as it is South facing - we have a BBQ available if requested. It's your choice - enjoy the lovely local area, our lovely back garden or a night with a house rabbit! We are close to some lovely walks along the Blackwater Navigation Canal and rivers. Maldon town centre is only a 15 min walk away. Our house is in a quiet neighbourhood but with shops, pubs and restaurants only a 5 min walk away. I have a good selection of things to do and see in the immediate walking area. There are 'ghost walks', boating trips, wine tours and tasting, real ale tastings in the Maldon area. The Tiptree Jam Company is only a 15 min drive away to see the manufacture of the world famous jams and a tea room to sample the jams with a cream tea. There is also the Maldon Sea Salt Company......individual tours yet to be agreed! We have several buses that can take you to the coast, train stations and other towns in the area. There is also a mainline train connection to London Liverpool St from Hatfield Peverel that stops at Stratford for the shopping centre! If we know in advance, we can also drive you to various places to help make your stay more enjoyable. Continental breakfast of cereal, fruit juice, yoghurt, toast available for £3.50 per person when requested in advance. Cooked breakfasts also available if requested in advance - price TBC depending on request. Hairdryer and straightening irons also available. We can also potentially do a 'taxi' service if advised in advance.
