A charming cottage in the heart of the beautiful village of Eversholt, right next to the church, cricket ground, village hall and excellent local pub. Perfect for staying over after a wedding, working in the area, golfing at Woburn or escaping to the countryside for a relaxing weekend. The cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen, original brick fireplace, exposed beams and comfortable beds. Woburn Abbey and Woburn Safari Park are on the doorstep, and Woburn Golf Club is only a few miles away. We are very excited to welcome you into our newly renovated cottage (which is over 300 years old). We love the original wooden beams and exposed brick fireplace, and the fact that it's a two minute walk from The Green Man Pub (fantastic pub dining run by Candice Brown - winner of the 2016 Great British Bake Off) and St John the Baptist Church, which is a very popular wedding location, as is Eversholt Hall which is a short walk beyond the church, across the lovely cricket green. The cottage is furnished and equipped to exceptional standards and we hope that you will love it as much as we do! The entire cottage is yours to enjoy. You can make full use of our fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier), comfortable living area, two bedrooms and bathroom. Free high-speed fibre internet is also available, along with a smart TV. My husband Richard and I live in the house next door. We are available for assistance, recommendations and advice, should you require it. Eversholt is a quintessentially English village that is over 1000 years old. It has a great village vibe and is surrounded by beautiful countryside with plenty of footpaths and popular walks, including the famous Greensand Ridge Walk and walks around the Woburn Estate. Our cottage is within walking distance (a longer walk, mind) from Woburn Abbey & Gardens, which is a beautiful stately home (home to the Duke of Bedford), and Woburn Golf Club is only a short drive away. The traditional village pub, The Green Man, is run by Candice Brown (2016 winner of the Great British Bake Off) which is reflected in the high quality of food on offer. We often pop over for a spontaneous lunch or dinner, and it's great for just a traditional pint or a glass of wine. The cottage is a 10 minute drive away from Flitwick train station, which has a direct line to London St Pancras (50 mins). We are also close to Bedford, Milton Keynes, Ampthill and Woburn, with close links to the M1, A421 and the A5. London Luton Airport is only a 25 minute drive away. Other popular attractions include Bletchley Park (home of the war-time codebreakers), Wrest Park stately home and gardens (Silsoe), Milton Keynes Theatre, Snozone indoor ski centre, iFLY indoor skydiving centre, and Woburn Forest Center Parcs and their Aqua Sana Spa. The best way to get around the locality is either by car or local taxi service.
