La Charretterie (Old Waggon Shed)

A tastefully restored old farm building in the grounds of a traditional former farm. Hosts live next door in a 500 year-old manor house. Separate and independent garden/entrance/parking. 7km from the sea. Rural peace. South-facing views over pasture. La Charretterie (The Old Waggon Shed) is a completely renovated upper storey of an old barn on a 500 year old former farm in Upper Normandy, 4 miles from the sea. It has two bedrooms (can sleep 5), a large dining/sitting room with woodburner and balcony, a well equipped kitchen with bathroom (and washing machine) and is let by the week. It is set in a delightfully rural and peaceful village, with private garden and parking. The Normandy coast here is very undeveloped and beautiful. There is good swimming at local beaches and plenty of activities and places to visit. We are 45 minutes' drive from Rouen, the capital of Normandy, 30 minutes from the seaside town and port of Dieppe. All along the coast there are good restaurants, serving the local seafood and fresh farm produce. There are good shops 15 minutes' drive away. Horse riding, walking, cycling, tennis, golf, sailing and wind surfing etc are all available in the vicinity. Table tennis, barbecue, garden furniture and the ground floor of the building with private garden and own parking space. Not overlooked and with beautiful south-facing views throughout. We are usually present nearby (very discreetly) if guests need help or advice. Rural peace, lack of development, traditional French markets, restaurants etc. THE SEA nearby. Beautiful walks, lots of places to visit, a quaint cinema in the seaside resort locally. Very good art galleries/shops fairly close. Rouen is a wonderful city to visit just 50 minutes drive away Not great! It's one of the charms of the place that it is so undeveloped!! Bike or car, I'm afraid! We are very remote!! We can supply basic WiFi with a USB 3G key. OK for emails and web consultation, bookings etc.
