Modern apartment in Dortmund's beautiful south

Welcome to our ca. 375 sq. ft. modern apartment in Dortmund’s South-East. The flat is located on the third floor of our house and features a bedroom, one bathroom with a shower, kitchen with all necessary equipment (stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, toaster) and a living room with TV, DVD player and stereo system. Please note: the apartment offers sleeping for up to four people. We do however want to make you aware of the fact that the apartment is not very large, so that we would only recommend short stays for groups larger than three. As we are living in the same house we will be there for you upon your arrival to get you sorted out and answer all your questions. If you like we will be happy to help you with information and tips for sightseeing, shopping, dining, … If you stay with us for Borussia Dortmund football matches we will happily provide you with a free match programme. The district of Dortmund Aplerbeck provides everything you may need, first and foremost excellent public transportation services. The train stations „Aplerbeck“ and „Aplerbeck Süd“ are within walking distance, the trains from there go directly to BVB stadium „Signal-Iduna-Park“ (8mins), main station (13mins) and „Holzwickede/ Dortmund Airport“ (5mins). A direct train link to the old Hanseatic League city of Soest is also available (35mins). Two bus stops are just around the corner, a subway station is only 600m away. From there trains go directly to the „Westfalenpark“, city centre and main station. The airport can easily be reached by bus, train + shuttle bus or taxi (about 3.5 miles). In direct vicinity of our place two supermarkets (2mins walk), an Italian restaurant and a gym can be found. The centre of Dortmund Aplerbeck - 2 bus stops or a 10 mins walk away - provides further shops and restaurants as well as Rodenberg Castle with its nice little park, which often hosts events (Medieval Festival, Beer Festival, Apple Festival, …) on the weekends. Within a distance of about 0.6 miles from our place you can enter a nice forests for your relaxation or a walk. As Dortmund Aplerbeck is situated in the South-East of Dortmund you quickly get to the beautiful rural areas of the Sauerland with its many lakes and reservoirs as well as the Münsterland for longer hikes or bike tours. Dortmund’s popular Lake Phoenix is about 1.8miles away. Public transportation is perfect in Dortmund, car and bike traffic are also no problem. If you want to visit the city centre we recommend public transportation. We can be of assistance finding the right ticket for your needs. As we are living in the same house with our daughters we need to ask you to please keep quiet at night time.
