Cozy and beautifully restored town house in the heart of Ærøskøbing -the fairytale town of Denmark. The house is perfect for a romantic weekend or a nice family vacation. It has 5 beds in 3 separate rooms, a cozy livingroom, diningroom, fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom with steam bath. You are welcome to use the two private gardens; a sunny courtyard and closed front yard. We really love our small romatic house and hope you will enjoy and take care of it too :) Here you can try living in one of the small original houses of Ærøskøbing -fully equipped with mordern facilities and comfort. The house is protected by the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces, and built in 1788. It is completely renovated and modernised by local craftsmen in accordance with traditions and culture. The house has two floors; 65m2 downstairs and 35m2 upstairs. The groundfloor comprises two bedrooms, one with a double bed (queen size) and a small room with one small single bed. Further, there is a cozy livingroom, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom with shower and steam bath. First floor has two beds and the possibility of matresses on the floor for children -and here's room enough for children to play. Our guests are welcome to use all the facilities of the house, including steam bath and washing maschine. The courtyard points south and has lovely sun in the summertime. The front yard has has grass and a small terrasse with table+beches. Our familiy of Mom and Dad, 6 children and children-in-laws, plus 3 grand children has enjoyed using the house for the last 15 years. We will do our best to answer questions and inquiries as fast as possible. Mainly Frederik and Sofie are attending this profile. Our local friend, Jette, helps us taking care of the house and perhaps she will be there to welcome you. The idyllic Ærøskøbing has to an unusual extend kept its medieval crooked streets and has a large amount of cute old houses. You will feel like walking in a fairytale. In the radius of only 100m from the house you will find 3 museums. From the house, a 15 min walk will take you to the famous Vesterstrand; a nice beach with shallow water and the famous tiny beach houses. Around Ærø you can enjoy the countryside and beautiful nature, as well as finding historical landmarks like passage graves/"jættestuer" and long barrows/"langdysser". In Ærøskøbing you will find everything you need within walking-distance. You can park you car at a parking spot on the harbour (2 min walk). Bicycles can be rented in Ærøskøbing -this is a nice way to see all of the beautiful island.
