"The Old Dairy" as the name implies is a former 16th century dairy , this grade 2 listed cottage sits in the grounds of Peacock House, the second oldest house in the village, and the home of the owners Helen and Nick. Having been skillfully and sympathetically converted into a fully equipped self contained detached holiday cottage. On the ground floor is the former dairy now the bedroom, a full bathroom, the first floor is the spacious living room with log burner, full kitchen and separate WC. Situated in a conservation area on the edge of the Cotswolds, The Old Dairy offers a peaceful tranquil location with its own contained garden area complete with delightful summer house and BBQ. Yet a short drive away from Stratford on Avon and Cotswold favorites and all that they offer, together with easy access for a day out in London with Honeybourne Station only 4 miles away going into Paddington Station. We believe the Old Dairy is unique, you are able to step out of your bedroom into the garden for that 1st coffee in the morning or down the covered external stairs from the living room into the garden. Also where else can you find a bedroom complete with 500 year old cheese press and a butter churn. Off street parking is available. Guests comment on the peace and quiet of this tranquil setting, many have said they have never slept so well. The old dairy is a convenient base from which to explore the Costwolds and Stratford upon Avon. Ideal for those who love walking in the countryside, or just the ideal location to chill for a few days in peace and quiet away from the hubbub of modern life. You have a complete detached cottage to yourself with its own self contained garden, with a lovely summerhouse, and patio. The owners Nick and Helen live in the main house and are close on hand should you need anything. The village of Cleeve Prior is a delightful old village and is a conservation area, the residents taking great pride in the welfare of the village. It has a great community spirit, and no better a location to feel this, than the local pub The kings Head, 3-4 minutes walk from the house, serving great ales and good food in front of a log fire. There is also a small farm shop. A full range of shops restaurants and pubs can be found 2 miles away in Bidford upon Avon. Also the surrounding villages also offer a great selection of places to eat out. There are numerous walks to be made in the area, there is an hourly bus service from the village to Evesham, also to Redditch via Bidford upon Avon and Alcester. We are only 4 miles from Honeybourne railway station and a direct link to London's Paddington station.
