Beautifully renovated cottage in characterful Cotswold style. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen. Recent additions include a downstairs double bedroom, and a downstairs shower room and toilet. There is a new lounge with dining area. A wood burning stove and comfortable sofas makes this a welcoming and cosy space, yet big enough to feel relaxed as a group. A new 2/3 person luxury Finnish sauna is exclusively yours for a nominal additional cost. Iced water, towels and essential oils all included. Guests have access to the whole property and the private garden. There is also private parking adjacent. My home is in the village. I will welcome guests on arrival and show them around the cottage. I am always available if needed. The village of Alvescot is quintessentially English. It has a lovely local pub serving good food and beer (we recommend to book beforehand) and a church. In the village there is also a large, safe playground for children and a tennis court. The cottage is located next to a farm and stables. It is just lovely to walk out and enjoy the countryside. The popular town of Burford is just a 10 minute drive away. Here there is lots to see and lots to do. The local pubs are walkable but we would advise it is best to have a car to be mobile. There are 2 parking spaces adjoining the cottage and lots of additional parking on the lane. Fresh free range eggs , milk, butter, jam, bread, teas and coffee will be provided for your welcome breakfast.
