Peaceful detached private Studio Room sleeps upto 3, in Bellerby Village close to market towns Leyburn & Richmond. Safe off road free parking outside studio for small to medium size cars & free parking in Bellerby. Self catering fully equipped open-plan kitchen dining area, large fridge freezer, microwave, cooking facilities. Modern ensuite shower, toilet+towels. Double bed settee+single bed+ bedding, wardrobe & drawers. Full CH. Outside seating+ garden views. Free Wi Fi, TV Catch-up, NetFlix. The Studio is a sunny, warm, comfortable open plan space to relax in peace with original art and sculpture. Also a sunny outdoor space to sit with lovely garden views . A separate shared utility room adjoins the back of the Studio room, housing a washing machine, tumble drier for use between 9am to 6pm+ iron and ironing board. There is plenty of safe outside space to park a car+ bikes. Wensleydale is perfect walking and cycling countryside, famous for Tour du Yorkshire, James Herriot and Wensleydale cheeses. Our welcome pack provides guests with invaluable information for eating out, places to visit, walks and lots more activity and cultural events. Jan and David Ward have lived here for 35 years so please ask for any help. The access to the Studio is narrow but large vehicles can safely park free in Bellerby Village. You can park at the rear of the studio and access the space around the Studio building which has an outdoor seating area + utility room. There is safe parking for small to medium sized cars on site. We live at Vine Barn, which is separate building from the Studio and we are available if you need anything so please ask or message Jan, particularly about local walks as Bellerby is a great place to walk from. There is also a Welcome Pack to refer to about local places of interest, eating out, current events etc. The Studio is situated at Vine Barn, Bellerby Village, Nr Leyburn, Nth Yorkshire DL85QP, and received the Best Kept Village award . It has a pub that serves excellent Yorkshire food and locally brewed beers and ales not to be missed. There is a variety of quality Restaurants, Cafe's and pubs in Leyburn a mile away and local towns and villages close by. Local Farmers Markets provide unique food and goods in Leyburn, Bedale and also Richmond 6 miles away with its landmark Norman Castle, Georgian Theatre and the Station Bistro with converted Cinema and adjacent public Swimming Pool + beautiful walks to Easby Abbey and surrounding countryside. There are free guided walks either short or long, including free tours of the town explaining its history. Also the Green Howard and Georgian History Museums. Guests can enjoy horse-riding at excellent stables nearby and see race horses at Middleham Moor Gallops 3+ miles away, famous for racing trainers like Mark Johnson. My horse, Sky is 28 years old and you can see her stabled at Vine Barn! For bike enthusiasts you can experience challenging routes made famous by the Tour du France and Tour du Yorkshire. Wensleydale is best known for its cheese, made at Hawes. They call Yorkshire 'Gods Country', its so beautiful and very welcoming. There is a Bus Service from Bellerby. There is the 'LIttle White Bus' local tour from Leyburn, well worth the trip through the quaint Yorkshire villages on route to Hawes with its Wensleydale Cheese Creamery made famous by Wallace and Grommit. There is plenty to see and do locally. Bikes are for hire in Leyburn. York and Harrogate are only 75 minutes away. We have a little friendly dog and 2 cats . If you do not like dogs or don't want them near you please let your host know. The cats wont go near any guests as they are semi wild.
