Our cozy guest cottage is located at the end of a scenic dirt road, just across from our 1860s farm house. We are surrounded by farms and woodlands, with lots of peace and quiet and endless outdoor activities just outside the door! A small but full kitchen and a Propane stove in the living room makes this a great place to stay for any amount of time in any season. Two bedrooms and a pullout couch makes it an option for anywhere from one to five, depending on how cozy you would like to be. Being at the end of a beautiful dirt road makes for an incredibly peaceful retreat for couples or families. Despite the satellite dish in the photos, there is no tv in the cottage. Guests are welcome to explore the gardens and fruit trees around our home. The driveways and homes are separate and there is plenty of privacy. We are just across the road if anything is needed, or you would like to share a cup of coffee! Our private, country cottage is situated 15 minutes (8 miles) from the town of Danville and in the middle of an endless amount of trails that are great for walking, skiing or biking. Danville is quaint and holds an excellent bakery (Bentley's Bakery and Cafe) and a convenient extensive gas station/grocery store (Marty's First Stop) where you can stock up on food to cook in the cottage. We are 15 minutes from St. Johnsbury and highway 91, 20 minutes from Lyndonville and Lyndon State College, and 45 minutes from Montpelier. Restaurants - If you are looking to go out to dinner there are a few great options: - Kingdom Table, St. Johnsbury (20 min drive): [american food, good beer] - Positive Pie, Hardwick, VT, Plainfield, VT (30 minute drive):[great pizza spot, (URL HIDDEN) Bentley's Bakery, Danville, VT Kingdom Taproom, St. Johnsbury, VT (15 minutes): [american food, great beer] Activities - The Northeast Kingdom boasts many great attractions all year long, some things to check out include: - VAST and VASA trails- Almost endless Vermont trail networks, just outside your door! - Great Vermont Corn Maze (5 minutes) [one of the largest corn mazes in the country!
