Ranch Organic Garden near Kolpa river

Our Ranch is situated in the South of Slovenia, in a region called Bela Krajina- White region. The region got it's name after the all present Birch tree. Our place is a 4,5 ha organic farm where we raise sheep and donkeys and grow organic fruit and vegetables. We would like to share this peaceful and green Paradise with you. We arranged a small cottage for up to 4 guests to enjoy Nature's beauty. The cottage has a private bathroom, a bedroom and a small Kitchenette including air condition. It's small hobby/volunteer/working farm. We bought it cca 10 years ago to move away from city life and learn how to self sustain and live in connection with Nature. During the Summer all kinds of activities are going on on the farm. From time to time we also host volunteers who come and help in exchange of learning about biodynamics, permaculture and sustainable living. The small cottage that you see in the front right side of the cover photo was specially arranged for your comfort at our farm. There's a small Bedroom with Queen bed (140x200 cm) and a fantastic view. Basic amenities are provided. Enough to cook a cup of coffee or tea or even a hot soup. There is a small Kitchenette with the water heather and cooking plate. A bigger Summer kitchen with barbecue and fireplace is right outside the cottage and is in common use to all residents on the farm. During the summer we spend most of our time on the farm, so we'll be around. Also some open spaces are shared with all residents of the farm, for instance Summer kitchen with barbecue and outside shower. If you want to experience an organic farm life, meet the animals and enjoy in Nature's beauties, our Ranch is the place for you. Kolpa river is near by, lots of routes for biking and hiking and there are some karst springs to visit near by, too. It's a total reset from your city and work worries. By demand, we can also arrange some home cooking of local dishes for additional payment (it depends on a dish). Free parking is available on the farm. Our Ranch is really close to Croatian border and to main highway leading to Zagreb in one way (cca 45 min) and Rijeka or Split-Dubrovnik the other. Ljubljana is an hour and 30 minutes drive with a car. The nearest infrastructure (post office, bank, supermarkets) is available in nearby town of Črnomelj (5 min drive with a car). Ranch Organic garden is children friendly and so is Kolpa river. It is slow running and you can enjoy canoeing, rafting and swimming even with small children. Our ranch is 15 min drive from Kolpa river where you can cool down in hot summer days and enjoy in various activities. Our place is perfect spot for bikers and cyclists. Keep in mind that there are animals on the farm (a friendly dog, sheep and donkeys). Pets are welcome. Additional payment 8 EUR/day.
